The Groom
Born in 1976 to Louis and Sandra Collins, Patrick has a younger brother Kevin and two older sisters, Coleen and Carrie. He is the cool uncle to 5 nieces and 1 nephew, ranging in age from 18 months to 31 years old. He graduated from Warren Mott High School before attending and graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Computer Science. Patrick has worked in the IT field for over 20 years now, including owning his own business, Ypsilanti Tech Works, for 15 years.
Melanie has always described Patrick as a well-rounded nerd. His Eagle Scout award, years in the marching band and his love of sci-fi help to make this a great description of the Groom.
The Bride
Born in 1975 to Martin and Mary Terrian, Melanie is the baby sister to Martin Jr. She is the mom of two and the awesome aunt to one nephew, Isaac. She was born and raised in Mackinaw City and went on to graduate from North Central Michigan College and Alma College. Melanie has worked for Aflac for the past 12 years as an Administrator/Recruiter.
Whether it’s road trips to Indianapolis to see her daughter or a quick coffee date with her son, Melanie prides herself on being a mom. In her free time she enjoys thrifting, crafting, and puzzles.
The Couple
Together the couple enjoy camping, farmers markets, wine tasting and cooking competition shows. The couple also enjoys spending time with a close-knit group of friends referred to as Pants! Some of the activities shared throughout the years include Tuesday night trivia, card nights, Eastern Michigan Homecoming tailgating and an annual Friendsgiving feast.
